Spring Fling

E' sempre una fatica per me usare timbri piccoli, perché non so mai come comporre il biglietto. Vedo un sacco di bei lavori con finestrelle e tags, ma quando provo a farli non mi viene niente di accettabile.

Questo fiore non fa eccezione: ce l'ho da un bel po', comprato su Ebay usato, ma non l'ho mai adoperato prima (o così mi sembra di ricordare. Però si sa, gli anni passano e le cellule cerebrali cominciano a salutare e andarsene...)

Stasera ho voluto provarlo, e mi sono resa conto che i colori mi piacevano, però le parti chiare tendevano a scomparire e nel complesso - montato sul biglietto - il tutto era un po' scialbo. Ho preso il coraggio a due mani ed ho provato a scarabocchiarlo con i pennarelli Stabilo sottili.

Mmhhh... quasi quasi 'sta cosa dello scarabocchio la riprovo...


Small stamps are always a challenge for me, I never know how to use them in a card. I see a lot of nice works with little windows and tags, but when I try to make the same, they never come out well enough.

With this flower things weren't easier for me: it's ages I bought it on Ebay, but I never used it (if I remember well but, you know, time passes and brain cells begin to wave good-bye and leave) .

Tonight I decided to try it and I liked the colors I used but the lighter parts seemed to disappear on the white background and - all in all - the image was too "flat" for this card. So I grabbed my Stabilo markers I begun doodling on the leaves and petals.

Mmmhhh... I think I'll try again this free-style doodling!
