Per continuare la serie del "fatto ma mai postato" ecco una ATC fatta per un incontro del 2016...
La base è un cartoncino azzurro timbrato con l'inchiostro nero mentre il pannello davanti è carta da acquerello sulla quale ho timbrato la farfalla.
Il timbro ha già un aspetto acquarellato ma per aumentare l'effetto dopo averlo inchiostrato con un tampone Distress azzurro l'ho spruzzato di acqua.
Ho aspettato che l'immagine asciugasse prima di stampare la seconda parte, quella centrale delle ali e con le macchie sul margine delle ali, con lo stesso inchiostro ma senza aggiunta di acqua. In questo modo l'immagine è rimasta più nitida e definita.
Una volta asciutta anche questa parte (io baro sempre usando l'embosser per far prima) ho timbrato la scritta in Versafine nero.

Amo questa farfalla che ho comprato anni fa su ebay (è di Stampin Up e come sapete in Italia ancora questa marca non è direttamente acquistabile) e proprio ieri ho ordinato, sempre su ebay, anche le fustelle coordinate. Mi sa che la rivedrete presto...

For the "stamped but never posted" series, this is an ATC made for and exchange that dates back to 2016...
The base is a light blue cardstock stamped in black ink and the front panel is watercolor paper.
The stamp itself has a grainy taxture but to enhance the watercolor effect after inking it with a Distress ink I sprayed it with water.
I waited this first image to dry before stamping the second layer, the one with the central and edge detailing of the wings, with the same ink but without spraying it because I wanted this image to remain crisp against the background.
Once this last part was dry (I sped things up using my embosser, I always do) I stamped the saying in black Versafine ink.
This is a very simple ATC but it's among the ones I made that I like the most. I LOVE this butterfly I bought from ebay (it's a Stampin Up product and - as you probably know - this brand is not yet directly available in Italy) and, yesterday, I bought from ebay the coordinating dies.
You'll probably see this butterfly again in the near future...
